Greetings! I am Dr. Adam Devitt. I am based in Turlock, California!

My background¶

I was born and grew up in Rochester, NY. I’m an Associate Professor of Science Education and the Director of Maker Pedagogy and Pk-12 Outreach in the Warrior Fab Lab at California State University, Stanislaus.

Previous work¶

I am a former elementary, special education teacher. I earned my Ph.D. From New York University in Science Education. I engage in research in STEM teacher development (pre-service and in-service), including integrating LEGO Robotics and programming with middle school stem teachers, and creating interdisciplinary, project-based STEM units.
