About me

My background

I am from the United States, currently living in a town outside of Boston, Massachusetts. My educational background is in the fine arts, earning a BFA in graphic design from Boston University. I switched tracks, earned an MEd in elementary education from Lesley University, and have been teaching students aged 10–14 for 13 years.

Previous work

For many years, I was a teacher at The Advent School’s Dream, Design Discover summer engineering program. Students learned to use the design process through various themes, such as toy-making, upcycling, and using simple machines. Simple machines was one of the more memorable programs culiminating in a Rube Goldberg machine, seen in the video below.
