My background

I was born Chattanooga. I got my B.S. in Biology at the University of Lynchburg (formerly Lynchburg College, in Virginia). Then I received my M.Ed in Secondary Science from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. I live with my husband and sweet dog in Hixson, TN.

Work Experience

Kristin Burrus has 25 years of experience in public education developing and facilitating problem-based learning and design thinking units for elementary, middle, and high school students integrating digital fabrication into content classes. She provides professional development and support for teachers. She is the Innovation Program Manager and Lead Teacher at the Global Center for Digital Innovation (GCDI), the first K-14 educational Fab Lab in the USA.
