I#ve been using CAD software and 3D printers for some time now. In my workshops it’s all about 3D printing, 3D software and slicing for the sake of learning how to use it. We almost neveruse reasons why we would use them…besides the usual pro#s and con’s of 3D Printing. Before I started giving workshops in 3D printing I already used them for home improvement, repairs and giving utensils and furniture a second live. And thinking about that I can imagine to come with a workshop for pupils on how to implement 3D printing in your, your neighbours, friends and families homes.

Here is a small example. My shower broke. It was only that knob on the steel rod that broke.
I had to find a similar part on tHingiverse,
alter it, printed 3 itterartions and now I got it working.

I learned some new stuff in 3D designing, I learning some physics about the strength of plastic parts, I saved some money because normally these parts are not available separate, you have to buy a whole set(25€), and there is less plastic waisted.
