About me

Welcome! I’m Alicia Fenner Knight, teacher on Martha’s Vineyard Island off the coast of Massachusetts, USA. This 2024-25 school year I am studying digital fabrication at the Fab Learning Academy. Hands on work is done at Aalto University’s Fab Lab in Espoo and Oulu University’s Fab Lab in Oulu, Finland.

My background

I was born and raised on Martha’s Vineyard Island. My upbrinigng grounded me in nature, a love for working with children and a particular interest in Science.

Later, I pursued opportunities to study and grow my resumé in the field of education. I have certificates of accomplishment as they relate to Yoga in Classrooms and Mindfulness in Education (Yoga4classrooms, Omega Institute), Collaborative Problem Solving (Mass General Hospital) and a Masters Degree in Administration (MSAA & Endicott College, MA)

Edgartown School This year marks my 23rd official year in teaching.

Volunteer Work

Chilmark Preschool I am proud to be the founding president of the Chilmark Preschool Board of Directors. This year marks my 20th year on the Board. I am also the Chair of the Building Committee as we look to grow the preschool on the Chilmark School campus in the Town of Chilmark.
