This is our Makerspace logo which is designed by Cheng Shek when we first started our school makerspace in 2018. I cut a few of these logos to label some of the our items and going to paste on souvenirs for our current makerspace team members - Ee Ling and Pauline.

Task 2: [Makerspace Mindset]

The Maker Mindset in education extends beyond just making and tinkering. It encompasses essential soft skills such as resilience and commitment in creating products or services that benefit the target audience—whether it be a specific group of people, a school, the community, or humanity at large. It also emphasizes the importance of teamwork, fostering humility to ask for help, learn from others, share knowledge, and support each other’s growth. Additionally, it promotes a multidisciplinary approach to tackling challenges and problems, as well as an attitude of continuous learning—acquiring diverse knowledge and applying it across at least two domains.

  1. I intend to conduct a workshop on Design and Vinyl Cut with a Christam theme for science and library staff so that they can utilse the vinyl cutting in their area of work.

  2. For these two week of digital fabrication, I gained valuable experiences in DF and are more confidence in supporting students in their 2D designs and product designs process. I am more confidence with DF for students.

- Next steps or improvements

I would like to know more about flexible circuit! Flexible Circuit Project The sample that was shown in the slides - Christmas Tree Ornaments that lights up, is one project that I can investigate more about.
