Reflection¶
1.Think on one or two educational activities in which you could integrate the laser cutter at some stage of the activity. Explain briefly the activity. Do not forget to clearly indicate the learning objectives.
The laser cutter can be used to create board games by attaching the knowledge obtained. Or, for example, in a history lesson, when a student can create a genealogical tree of his family. In this case, the goal of training is to consolidate the acquired knowledge by getting involved in the process.
2.Reflect on your own practice. When you prepare a lesson activity what are the things that you take into consideration? What are the critical aspects? What additional aspects do you need to take into consideration if you utilize digital fabrication processes?
First of all, I try to take into account the age of my students and the complexity of the subject. It seems to me that this is critically important so that it can be connected with safety in production. It is also important that the student solves problems from real life using digital processes. So he will be interested and he will be ready to overcome difficulties on the way to knowledge. 3.Reflect on your past educational activities. How have you considered Socio-Emotional learning (or soft-skills) when preparing the activities? Could you provide some concrete examples? How have you changed your perspective on socio-emotional learning / soft-skill / horizontal competences after this lecture.
My example of social learning using digital technologies.
Students were given the task of describing all of their classmates using only positive adjectives. After that, having collected all the information and calculated the most frequently occurring characteristics, I compiled a “portrait” of each student according to the opinion of his classmates.
For each of them, I made a Christmas tree toy with the name and description of the characteristics of classmates.

I used laser cutting technology.
Social learning objectives: to improve the relationship between students, to add self-confidence, to allow the student to look at himself from the side, to improve language skills.
