About me

Hi! My name is Nancy Pamela González, I am from Guatemala, I have twenty two years of experience in education, and from those this is my third school year working at Colegio Interamericano. Currently I’m an Educational Assistant in fifth grade. What I liked the most about Interamericano is the Fab Lab, during my orientation week I was able to visit it and work on some problem solving activities in order to explore and know more about it. I think since then, I’ve never stopped visiting and trying new stuff with my students. I really look forward to learn more about teaching through digital fabrication technology.

My background

I was born in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala, a pretty nice and cold place close to the city. When I was one year old, my family and I moved to the city and I grew up here. My school days as a student were amazing! since I was little, I always tried new activities in art and sports. When I turned twelve I started serving at the Church in Sunday School with the little ones. That was the moment I knew I wanted to become a teacher, so I took my journey in education when I was in Highschool, studying early education; then after I finished the school, I went to the University and continued my studies in English Leanguage Education and finally I finished my studies in Teaching English with a specialization in educational technology at Universidad Mariano Galvez, Guatemala. I have enjoyed every part of it. My experience with digital fabrication technologies is taking place now days by learning how to manipulate the tools, years before my students and I were only the master minds behind the products, now I´m too exited to protagonize by the hand of my students.
