About me¶
My name is Noel Tremblay and I teach Design at Lower Canada College (LCC) in Montreal, Canada.
My background¶
I was born in Windsor, Ontario, and moved to Montreal when I was 18. My father worked as a carpenter and taught woodshop for 35 years, while my mother ran her own seamstress business for the same amount of time. Growing up, I was surrounded by creative thinkers and makers, which sparked my own interest in design.
Although my formal training is in History, I have been teaching Design & Technology at an IB school for the past five years. I currently teach Grade 8 and Grade 11 Design. I feel fortunate to work alongside talented colleagues at LCC, who have taught me a great deal about design thinking and hands-on making.
I have some experience with vinyl cutting, laser cutting, and 3D printing, as well as with Autodesk Fusion 360 and Adobe Illustrator. I am eager to continue developing my knowledge and skills in design thinking and making throughout this course.
