What is Fab Learning academy?
Fab Learning Academy is a Global Certification program aimed at helping teachers learn how to integrate digital fabrication technology in K-12 education.
The program runs for several months. During that time teachers are introduced to different kinds of tools and methodologies in order to help them integrate maker mindset and culture into their activities.
Course structure
The course is divided into 4 modules, each one running for about 4 weeks. During each module teachers have access to articles, presentations and videos about the different aspects of digital making and the maker mindset.
At the end of each module teachers have to develop a field activity to put into practice what has been covered during the module.
The four modules that make up the course are:
- The Possibilities of Digital Fabrication in K-12 Education
- Pedagogies and Sustainable Practices in Digital Fabrication.
- Diverse classrooms: digital fabrication for all.
- Makerspaces in schools and beyond the classroom.
